Police Scanner

In order to make more information accessible to the public, we have posted our recordings of police scanner activity on the following page.

Each recording covers approximately one hour of activity, however, periods of silence have been removed to speed up the listening process and reduce file size.

These recordings only contain radio transmissions that are accessible to any member of the general public with a scanner radio capable of picking up the particular frequencies that the police/fire/EMS communicate on.

If you hear anything interesting, have an opinion, or would otherwise like to make a comment, please feel free to do so below.

OK, let me listen to the scanner digests already.

What is the reason you want to post scanner tapes?

    Joe Blow,

The reason the manager of the paper puts all these bad comments about the police is probibly because he got into trouble once by the police and this is his or hers way of being childish and trying to get revenge. No brainer there!!!!

What part of legal activity and our right to know is being childish? I own a scanner and although most of our residents do not, I am sure they would love to know what our fine officers are doing and what is going on in our community. Did someone prominent get let go on a drunken driving charge?? As if that would never happen. It would be lovely if there were more checks and balances in this town to make our politicians and elected officials more accountable for their actions and the actins of their employees. There is still way too much “good ol’ boy” nonsense going on in this town and it’s about time it stops.
