Weidman man killed when motorcycle strikes deer

HARRISON – A 48-year-old Weidman man recently was killed when his motorcycle struck a deer causing him to lose control of the bike.
James Trimble suffered fatal injuries after Saturday’s accident on South Rodgers Avenue, according to Clare County Sheriff’s Department officials. He was headed southbound on the road, just north of East Mannsiding Road, when the accident occurred at 1:44 p.m.
Sheriff’s Department officials said Trimble struck a deer and he lost control of the motorcycle. No further details were available Monday.
The Clare County Sheriff’s Department Accident Investigation team completed the investigation into the accident. The Clare County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by United Rescue Ambulance and the Clare County Road Commission.
